Cousins Digital Scrapbook Page

One of my friends got me thinking about digital scrapbooking again. Guess I missed it. It's so much tidier! Well tonight I created this LO of my son Ace, and his 2 cousins Lexi (bottom) and Emma (right). I love how it turned out. Now get scrapping!

Digital Scrapbook Page

I got busy working on a digital scrapbook page tonight. I like digi-scrapping but it's just not as much fun as sitting with papers and chip board and tape runners and brads... well, you get the idea. So here's my page. It took me about 3 hours. That sounds like so much time when you actually say it... but when you consider most of my other pages take me 2+ anyway, I guess this is no different. OK off to bed.

Fair Ribbons

OMG I'm so excited about my ribbons I've won so far at the county fair! I submitted 2 - 2 page layouts into the horticulture scrapbook category and won 2 blue ribbons there.... 5- 2 page layouts into the arts scrapbook category and I haven't found out about those ribbons yet, or the 2 altered items I've submitted which you've seen here on my blog- the altered mirror and the CD tin album I made for my mom's birthday earlier this year. Those ended up in the handicrafts category so I am not sure how those did. I can't wait to go to the fair (or at least have somone report back to me about my ribbon status)!!! OK that's all for now. I'll post pictures of my layouts with the ribbons later when I actually get to the fair. Enjoy your day!

8/28 Ribbon update- Went to the fair on 8/26 and found that I received 1st place Blue ribbons on ALL 9 of my entries!!!! That's so cool! Now I didn't win best of show this year, but that's okay. Gotta share the wealth sometimes. Plus, there's always the "Central Washington State Fair" at the end of Sept. I've never entered (or even been to) that fair, so it'll be a fun conclusion to summer!

Weekend Get-Away

I had so much fun this weekend on my quick Weekend Get-Away with my girlfriend Tracy. We went to the family cabin in Spokane and scrapped and laughed tons. I can't wait to take pictures of all my work for you to see!!!

Altered Rings

Here's a quick post for today. I bought these cute plain acrylic rings from a LSS. I had seen a finished one on Teresa Collins blog and of course I had to have one. Well... 3 months later, I've finally completed my ring! It went from this...

to this!

I created a template for the shape w/ plain paper. Then I used the template on actual scrapbook paper. I believe this one is Bo Bunny Alyssa. I just love that paper, and now I can wear it! Oh, I used Stampin Up's Crystal Effects all over the inside of the ring, then placed the paper down, and rubbed more of the CE over it. Let it dry, and you're good to go! (BTW- don't wash your hands with this ring on... the Crystal Effects will wear out and your paper will peel... trust me- I need to create a new ring now. So sad.)

Halloween Layouts!

For the Scrap Happens design team, I was given the My Minds Eye "Boo to you" collection. These papers are so cute. I had tons of ideas right out of the shoot. I started working on these last weekend, and got 2 done, and finished the other two on Friday night. I opted for 4- 1 page lo's . Sometimes you really don't want a 2 page lo. So here's what I've come up with. Hope it inspires you to scrap the past years Halloween pics, or better yet, prepare you for the upcoming holiday!
On both lo's with the bloack spiderweb, the spider is actually dangling on a piece of embroidery thread so he can move around.

The stars are glittered with stickles, the orange photo mats are raised on foam, and the little bottles are glue down, then foam mounted a 2nd set on top of them for more dimension.

Another new frame

Last night I started scrapping but ended up crafting this new frame! I just loved the papers and knew it would make an awesome frame... Love how it turned out!
